The Cleveland Browns hit rock bottom in 2017 while the Philadelphia Eagles won the Super Bowl, but that hasn’t stopped former Eagles linebacker Mychal Kendricks from making some bold claims about his new squad.
In a preview of an upcoming Hard Knocks episode, Kendricks said that the Browns, who went 0-16 last year, have “so much more talent in this room than I did in Philly, it’s not even funny.”

You’re right Mychal it’s not funny.
It’s hilarious.
Sure, you can’t blame Kendricks for believing in his new team despite it going a combined 1-31 the past two seasons, but he brought the Eagles up unprompted. I’m also curious to see the full context to what he said when the episode airs, as Kendricks implied via his Twitter account Wednesday.
Maybe, just maybe… @HBO's #HardKnocks will show the rest of the speech I was giving to the team. By showing the full message, perhaps it would give more clarity to my opinions. Placing the entire message I was trying to give in full context will show why, "it's not funny."

Kendricks also doubled down on his raw talent take.
Philly was the best team last year not because of having the best talent, but because we were the best overall unit in football. How else would a team beat the Patriots? Here at the Browns, we have the capabilities to be an even better team because of the natural raw talent here! https://t.co/JQSgvzLbPJ

In Kendricks’ defense here’s what I will say. The Browns are moving in the right direction, they have a very underrated front seven led by Myles Garrett and Emmanuel Ogbah along the defensive line and the under-the-radar trio of Jamie Collins, Christian Kirksey, Joe Schobert at linebacker. Baker Mayfield may just be the answer for Cleveland at quarterback and there are some weapons at his disposal in Josh Gordon and Jarvis Landry. Tyrod Taylor was one of the few signal-callers in Jalen Ramsey’s infamous GQ article to not feel his wrath.
I’m curious to see what type of leap the Browns make this year, who knows maybe they even make the playoffs, but to think that they are more talented than the champs is asinine.
Win a game first.
