Joel Embiid, Sixers rout Nets in Game 5

That was easy.

And the Philadelphia 76ers fans let Jared Dudley know just how much he sucks, too.

Game 5 was a laugher, and for the first time in 18 years, the Sixers are heading to the conference semifinals in consecutive seasons following a 122-100 rout of the Brooklyn Nets on Tuesday night.

Joel Embiid had 23 points and 13 rebounds in 20 minutes for Philadelphia, which won four in a row following a Game 1 defeat. The 76ers will play the second-seeded Toronto Raptors in the conference semis beginning Saturday after Toronto closed out its series with the Orlando Magic Tuesday following five games.

Embiid scored the game’s first six points during a 14-0 Sixers run and it was 23-2 to start. It was 60-32 at the half and the margin swelled to as high as 36, 70-34, in the third quarter. Ben Simmons posted 13 points, six assists and five rebounds, while Tobias Harris chipped in 12 points in the victory.

Dudley was held scoreless.

It was a hell of a party at the Wells Fargo Center!
