The New York Jets beat the Philadelphia Eagles 6-0 on the final night of the NFL preseason on Thursday at MetLife Stadium.
I could’ve just ended the recap right there.
I should’ve just ended the recap right there.
EAGLES PRESEASON FOOTBALL IS FINALLY OVER!!! It’s been a brutally long summer and every exhibition contest has had that Week 4 feel with head coach Doug Pederson wanting to make sure that all of his key pieces are ready when the real games start in nine days.
Carson Wentz was put in bubble wrap and a lot of the other veterans were given a light workload.
As for this snoozer, Daeshon Hall did enough to warrant him making the team. He and Josh Sweat should make the roster. Also look for a potential phanthom IR situation popping up for Shareef Miller, who was picked in the fourth round and could be lost out on if he’s placed on the practice squad.
Here’s Hall showing off the hand usage before getting to the quarterback and knocking the ball free. It was his preseason-leading fourth sack and third forced fumble to go along with four tackles for loss and nine quarterback hits.

T.J. Edwards closed a strong summer with a 10-tackle performance. With Nigel Bradham and Kamu Grugier-Hill battling injuries, he put himself in a good position to make the team. Alex Singleton had 15 tackles, but I think he falls short of making the 53-man roster.
Mack Hollins or Greg Ward? Ward probably deserves it, but Hollins is the special teams ace, which is why I think he makes his way onto the team.
Cuts are Saturday, then the fun begins next week!
