2. Philadelphia Furniture Show
Where: 23rd Street Armory | 22 S 23rd St
When: Run through Sunday, October 6
Come out to the 23rd Armory Street Armory this weekend to take in the 2019 Philadelphia Furniture Show. This phenomenal interior furnishing expo will feature several artisans and handmade pieces from all around the country. There will be food and cocktails available for pay-as-you-go purchases.

3. Blooms & Bamboo
Where: Longwood Gardens | 1001 Longwood Rd | Kennett Square, PA
When: Runs through Sunday, November 17
Blooms & Bamboo: Chrysanthemum and Ikebana Sogetsu Artistry features towering and amazing Ikebana bamboo art arrangements. An Ikebana Sogetsu artisan, Akane Teshigahara, has created amazing swirling and twisting works exclusively for Longwood Gardens.

4. Notorious RBG
Where: National Museum of American Jewish History | 101 S Independence Mall E
When: Runs through January 2020
The National Museum of American Jewish History welcomes a new exhibit to its halls this week, Notorious RBG. It’s the first-ever museum retrospective navigating the life of Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg. The visually-immersive exhibit traces her career-defining moments and more.

5. Chestnut Hill Night of Lights
Where: Germantown Ave
When: Friday, October 4 | 6:45 p.m. – 9 p.m.
Chestnut Hill’s 3rd Annual Night of Lights is this Friday. When strolling through the streets of Chesnut Hill, you’ll be captivated by the historical images and films from the conservancy’s archives projected onto storefront windows and onto exterior walls. Neighboring buildings and walls will also be filled with colored lights. It’s also Chesnut Hill First Friday which boasts extended hours for shops, boutiques, and restaurants.

6. Franklin Square Spooky Golf Course
Where: Franklin Square | 200 N 6th St
When: Runs through the season
Franklin Square will have several events at the entertainment hotspot this weekend. Through the month of October, there will Spooky Mini Golf ($10 adults, $8 children) each weekend from 6 p.m.- 9 p.m. There will be fog, lights, music, and surprises. In the coming weeks, keep your eyes peeled for a new inflatable Halloween maze.

7. Friday Night Movies at Betsy Ross House

This Friday night, Betsy Ross House will be hosting two Halloween-themed screenings. The First Friday Movie Night series wraps up with a spooky double feature with Bucket of Blood and the original Night of the Living Dead. It’s just $5 for both movies. Don’t forget to BYOB and snacks.

8. Ghost Ship

Created by Biangle Studio, this spooky and hauntingly fun holographic illusion takes over the Delaware Waterfront this Friday. The 18th-century ship stands 50-feet tall underneath the Ben Franklin Bridge. You can take a self-guided audio tour of this visual marvel.

9. Brian Sanders’ JUNK Presents 2nd Sanctuary

2nd Sanctuary is an unforgettable and mindbending 21st century Halloween experience. Choreographer Brian Sanders has taken over an old church at 21st & Christian and offers up this VR and sensory-driven attraction. Jump from an escape room to Zombie Disco, and so much more. This is a creative escape from the mundane haunted house. 2nd Sanctuary takes the season to all-new heights and engrossing depths.

10. Old City First Fridays

Each First Friday of the month Old City opens its galleries and studios for a little fun. Several participating spaces will have painting collection, woodworkings, sculptures, furniture, metal works, and more all throughout several buildings. Stop by The Clay Studio for From Storage to the Studio, The Plough & the Stars for an Oktoberfest celebration, and several other events during the weekend.

11. Frankford Ave First Fridays

Old City isn’t the only neighborhood celebrating the first Friday of the month. Fishtown will be brimming with art, culture, food, and more. October First Friday! will feature special Happy Hours, launch parties, art installations, DJ parties, and several other activities.

12. First Friday at The Barnes

16. Philadelphia International Dragon Boat Festival
Where: Kelly Drive
When: Saturday, October 5 | 8 a.m. – 5:30 p.m
The 2018 Dragon Boat Festival is this Saturday. Come to the Schuylkill Banks to see 20 paddlers, drummers, and others steer these longboats on the water. This will be a great showcase of teamwork as the paddlers work in unison to splice the water and lead their teams to victory.

17. Revolutionary Germantown Festival

When: Saturday| October 5; Festival: 10 a.m. – 4 p.m., Oktoberfest: 4-8 p.m.
Historic Germantown’s house Cliveden will be the setting of the Revolutionary Germantown Festival this Saturday. There will be battle reenactments, impersonators of great figures in history, speeches, recognition of how local events shaped the war, and much more. The event will end with a Battle Bash that includes food, music, and an Oktoberfest celebration.

18. Morris Arboretum Fall Family Weekend

When: Saturday, October 5 & Sunday, October 6 | 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. (Fun Weekend) | Runs through Thursday, October 31 (Scarecrow Walk)

19. Site/Sound: Revealing the Rail Park
Where: Various locations
When: Saturday, October 5 – Saturday, October 19
Site/Sound is merges large-scale art installations created through sound and light projection by three teams of Philadelphia artists, cutting-edge live performances of new music, discussions on the use of public art in creating great public spaces, and fun and engaging activities and experiences designed by community organizations from neighborhoods along the current and future Rail Park. Across all three sites, the festival will present a diverse mix of Jazz, Folk, World, Contemporary Classical, Soundscapes, and Electronic music, as well as dance and performance art.

20. Roxtoberfest

21. King of Prussia Beer Royale

It will be beer o’clock this weekend at the King of Prussia Mall. Come out to Beerfest Royale this Thursday and Saturday. There will be a tremendous happy hour and massive sampling events. 22. Midtown Village Fall Festival

The 2019 Midtown Village Fall Festival is this Saturday afternoon. This free to enter gathering will have food, drinks, and plenty of shops open for business. Come out for the splendor of local arts, crafts, collectibles, and more being peddled by area merchants. Thousands have been known to navigate through the streets each year at this event. BRÜ Fall Fest will take place during the event and El Vez’s outdoor Tequila Garden will have street specials like frozen blood orange margarita, chicken tacos, corn on the cob, chips and guac, and more.

23. Jack’s Pumpkin Glow

Jack’s Pumpkin Glowe is a one-of-a-kind spectacle for the entire area. A sea of carved pumpkins line the streets as you walk along the trail. There are different specialized events in the park during the series and some of the most famous celebrities can be found etched into the orange faces of these seasonal treasures.

24. Incubus

25. Carrie Underwood

Cherry Street Pier has exciting events each day. This Sunday, stop by the waterfront hotspot for family painting and a movie. Local visual artist and graphic designer Flygirrl will lead the children in a spectacular art-making session. Later in the day, Moana will be screened for free.

27. Museum Sundays
Where: Philadelphia Museum of Art | 2600 Benjamin Franklin Pkwy and Barnes Foundation | 2025 Benjamin Franklin Pkwy
When: Sunday, October 6 | 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The Sunday come to The Barnes Foundation for PECO Free First Sunday Family Day: Art and Movement. Come capture pose and practice gesture drawing with live models from the Pennsylvania Ballet. Attendees can make tutus and ribbon wands, take a self-portrait at the Degas-inspired selfie station, and learn basic ballet steps. There will be several other tremendous activities at this event. Stop by the Philadelphia Museum of Art for pay-what-you-wish Sunday as well. This Sunday is Family Festival: Ready, Set, Draw! Stop by to meet children’s book illustrator Alisa Wismer, who will sign copies of her new book, Let’s Talk About Modern Art.

28. Jets vs. Eagles

The Eagles will be back at Lincoln Financial Field this Sunday to take on the New York Jets. 29. New York FC vs Union
