UFC Fight Night this Saturday features Jessica Eye vs. Cynthia Calvillo in the main event. Calvillo moves to up to the flyweight division after failing to make the 115 lb. strawweight limit for the third time in her last five fights. She faces one of the best strikers in the division in Eye, and will look to implement a heavy dose of wrestling to keep Eye on her back. I discuss how the smaller cage, move up in weight, and her new training camp will all factor into my decision of who to back in Saturday’s main event. Plus, we visit Fight Island and go over all the major title fights and discuss what Conor McGregor’s retirement really means for his fighting future.
We move to the NFL for the second half of the segment and break down this week’s Futures Faceoff featuring the Eagles and Cowboys. I break down some concerning splits in Dak Prescott’s 2019 career year and look at how much impact the new coaching staff can have on the underachieving Cowboys. Plus, we discuss why winning 9+ games hasn’t been easy for Doug Pederson, and the importance of the coaching staff for each team.
