Extreme Championship Wrestling had its best years in the late 90s before money would be the ultimate downfall for the company. The first ECW pay-per-view, Barely Legal, took place in April 1997. Since that point, ECW had three more before Wrestlepalooza in May 1998. I was certain Al Snow would defeat Shane Douglas for the ECW World Heavyweight Championship… especially since, you know, Douglas was wrestling with four fractures.
Yeah, that didn’t make Snow look bad or anything.
Anyhow, Vaughn and I dove deep into this pay-per-view last year, so we’re re-uploading it again this year in case you haven’t gotten a chance to listen.
