Shooters Pod: Austin vs. McMahon in Philly

It’s 3/16 and we are celebrating the tangible moment Stone Cold Steve Austin shifted the balance of power between the World Wrestling Federation and World Championship Wrestling… and it all began right here in Philly! Vince McMahon had had enough of Austin, who challenged McMahon to a WWF Championship Match on April 13, 1998, inside what is now known as the Wells Fargo Center. At that time, it was known as the CoreStates Center. Austin had just come off winning the title at WrestleMania 14, and McMahon wanted to make him a corporate champion. It didn’t work for some reason.

That culminated with McMahon finally slapping Austin across his face. But then Dude Love showed up. We talk all about it on this week’s episode.
