Jett Luchanko is the newest member of the Philadelphia Flyers organization.
Luchanko, 18, was selected No. 13 overall by the Flyers during Friday’s 2024 NHL Draft. A 5-feet-11, 187 lb. center, Luchanko played for the Guelph Storm of the OHL over the past two seasons.
The Flyers originally had the No. 12 overall pick in Friday’s first round, but traded with the Minnesota Wild and moved one place down. They also acquired a third-round draft pick in 2025.
Luchanko totaled 14 points (five goals, nine assists) in 46 games played with Guelph during the 2022-23 OHL season. He took a major step forward this past season, tallying 74 points (20 goals, 54 assists) in 68 games played
Following the OHL season, Luchanko was awarded the William Hanley Trophy (individual who demonstrates the most sportsmanship).
Internationally, Luchanko represented Team Canada at the World Junior Championships U-18, totaling seven points (two goals, five assists) and winning the gold medal.
A strong two-way player, Luchanko will be a top talent to watch as the Flyers aim to build off a positive 2023-24 NHL season.
