Luchanko totaled 14 points (five goals, nine assists) in 46 games played with Guelph during the 2022-23 OHL season. He took a major step forward this past season, tallying 74 points (20 goals, 54 assists) in 68 games played

Following the OHL season, Luchanko was awarded the William Hanley Trophy (individual who demonstrates the most sportsmanship).
