How all the super homeristic radio calls of the Eagles’ leading the Commanders to the end of their season sounded on Commanders radio

I will admit, the passion Bram Weinstein and London Fletcher have for the Washington Commanders is somewhat admirable. Some fans like objectivity in their home announcers, but others want to hear that bias shine through. If you’re the latter and a Commanders fan, you’re likely thoroughly enjoying your radio broadcasts throughout the season. But if you’re anyone else, you’re likely making fun of how whiny Bram and London sound when things aren’t going their way. The NFC Championship Game was no exception. Come for the cookin’, stay for the salt. It’s the “They took over the Hard Rock and then got Rocked Hard” edition, courtesy of the Washington Commanders Radio Network.

1. SAQUON. BARKLEY. “One play. Eagles take the lead. Touchdown Saquon Barkley.”

2. FUMBLE! Recovered by THE BIRDS!

3. DEVONTA SMITH! AJ BROWN! SAQUON BARKLEYYYY! … “This is unusual… we haven’t seen a lot of this from the Commanders” … “Kinda feels like they’ve been punched in the mouth a little bit”

4. HURTS TO AJ BROWN TO CONVERT 4TH AND 5! … “Perfect dime.” … “Dan Quinn says ‘bold and not reckless.’ Nick Sirianni says ‘bold and not reckless’, either.”

5. “I don’t know about that.” … Not sure what they’re looking at!

6. TUSH PUSH, BABY! … “I don’t know why he [Lattimore] gets the penalty and AJ Brown doesn’t get a penalty”

7. ANOTHER FUMBLEEEEE!

8. LATE HIT ON SAQUON! … “It’s ridiculous.” … “Philadelphia doesn’t need any help from us or the referees.”

9. AJ BROWN. NO PERSONAL FOUL. YES TOUCHDOWN.

10. EAGLES JD > COMMANDERS JD!

11. HURTS TO GOEDERT! -> HURTS RUNS IN FOR THE TOUCHDOWN! … “It’s too easy.” … “NFC Championship is not playing out the way we know all of you back home and us here in the booth were hoping.”

12. “OH NOOOO!”

13. SAQUON! And it begins… “He fumbled the snap!” … “That’s a fumble! Challenge this!” … “Oh, no, he’s down”

14. “Hahahahaha” … “Frankie Luvu just plays the game the way it should be played” … Dirty? k

15. “What do you want them to do? They’re supposed to try to stop the play, what do you want them to do? Award them a score? What are we in, third grade? That’s ridiculous.” … “Just snap it, Jalen.” … “That was infuriating.” … Maybe try to stop it legally instead!

16. “THROW THE PI!” … “There obviously should’ve been a flag, and it wasn’t thrown … Ridiculous no-call on third and 11.” … Ball don’t lie. SACKED. AGAIN. NOLAN. SMITH.

18. “Towards the end zone to Terry McLaurin, jumps up and he pulls it away from Quinyon Mitchell, no. Mitchell got it. And they’re saying it’s an interception.”

19. WILL SHIPLEY! … “I had these visions of we’re gonna be in a close game with these guys and let’s see what 5 does on this stage against that team with a chance to win. And it just unraveled. It’s their own mistakes. Their turnovers killed them.”
