Eagles legend Brandon Graham officially announced his retirement Tuesday, becoming the very first Eagle to retire as a two-time Eagles Super Bowl Champion.
Graham was drafted by the Eagles in 2010, but went through two head coaches before finding himself as a key cog in the Eagles’ defense under Jim Schwartz. Of course, that was capped off with a strip-sack on Tom Brady in Super Bowl 52, leading to a Jake Elliott field goal that would stretch their lead to eight points and put a little more pressure on Brady and co. to try and score a miraculous touchdown and two-point conversion just to send the game to overtime.
We all know how that ended.
Graham tore his triceps against the Rams in November, but he simply would not allow himself to miss another Super Bowl opportunity. He re-tore his triceps during Super Bowl LIX against the Kansas City Chiefs.
Here’s Graham’s speech from the Super Bowl LIX championship parade in its entirety.
