Saquon Barkley signed a three-year, $37.75 million deal with the Philadelphia Eagles on March 11, 2024. Fast forward one season after he amassed 2,005 yards on 345 carries and 15 touchdowns in 16 games culminating in a Super Bowl Championship, Barkley is already being locked up for an additional two years, according to multiple reports.

Howie Roseman simply isn’t playing around. He wasn’t going to have a Terrell Owens situation. Of course, Barkley likely would not have gone the route in requesting a new deal the way T.O. went about his, but we probably should never say never in professional sports. That’s what makes “this u?” so entertaining.
As heard on NFL’s Mic’d Up from Super Bowl LIX, Jalen Hurts flat-out told Barkley he changed the team.
“That’s you. That’s you. That’s you … You don’t understand the difference you made. You like that last piece, man.”
