The Philadelphia 76ers are currently in the midst of a 21-41 season that has pretty much been derailed since the start. With injuries mounting to key players, the losses also keep mounting. At this point in the season, it certainly seems like it’s time to start paying attention to the 2025-26 season.
But that’s not going to keep the Sixers out of the spotlight outside of their required time on the court during games. WWE SmackDown came to the Wells Fargo Center Friday night, and Paul George, Adem Bona, Guershon Yabusele, and Jared Butler were in attendance (for how long, we don’t know). And… booing ensued.

Now, were the fans booing all of the players? Not likely. There are some pieces there that could help Philadelphia’s professional basketball team in the future. But the main guy holding the belt? Yeah, it’s not exactly been a match made in Heaven this season. Had it just been Butler, Bona, and Yabusele (what a law firm that would be), there may have been more cheers, or just less boos.
The internet was loving it.
