Boxing superstar Manny Pacquiao made some very strong and interesting statements the other day when asked about gay marriage in the Philippines, where he may run for president after he retires. Pacman strongly condemned it, saying the following:
It’s common sense. Will you see any animals where male is to male and female is to female? The animals are better. They know how to distinguish male from female. If we approve of male on male, female on female, then man is worse than animals.”
Needless to say there was some swift and serious backlash to Manny’s comments. Manny quickly posted a video apologizing, although he did not back down on his anti-gay marriage stance.
I’m sorry for hurting people by comparing homosexuals to animals. Please forgive me for those I’ve hurt.”
