Ben Simmons’ debut for the Sixers was going to be special. Really special. But, now, we’re going to have to wait a while for him to get back on the court after he suffered a broken bone in his right foot during a practice last month.
After the initial shock [and depression] of Simmons’ fate wore off, rumors began circulating that Simmons’ agent, Rich Paul, wouldn’t let his client take the court this season and, instead, allow a full year for recovery, despite the recovery time allowing Simmons to return to the court within three months of the surgery. Today on Breakfast on Broad, Sixers CEO Scott O’Neil said Simmons would be back on the court this season for the Sixers, ostensibly meaning he’d be back in game action and not sit out the entire year.
