Fletcher Cox is going to have a new running mate in 2017 and Beau Allen is chomping at the bit.
Bennie Logan signed a one-year deal with the Kansas City Chiefs on Monday, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
To fill expected void, Chiefs and former Eagles DT Bennie Logan reach agreement on 1-year deal, per source. Looks like Dontari Poe moves on.

Logan had nothing but love to show via social media for the city of Philadelphia, leaving this tweet.
forEVA ? for Philly‼️✊? embraced me with open arms through the good and bad. I appreciate that tough love!

The 27-year-old Logan was a third-round pick in the 2013 NFL Draft and provided solid production for four seasons, but didn’t take the leap forward last season like many thought he would being in Jim Schwart’s 4-3 scheme. A groin injury didn’t help either.
Now the Birds move onto Allen, a seventh-round selection in 2014. Playing alongside Cox, I believe he can hold his own. Allen isn’t going to pop out at you with his statistics, but he’s a grinder that rarely gets pushed backwards behind the line of scrimmage. I’m sure the Eagles will add depth with another cheap signing and a draft pick.
Allen and the Eagles are reportedly in extension talks, according to the Philadelphia Inquirer’s Jeff McLane.
Let’s see if he can seize this opportunity in 2017 and legitimize himself as a viable starter.
