I’m not a fan of high-speed chases. I never watch them and I think they’re stupid because people are stupid. But something – SOMETHING – told me to track this high-speed chase last night from New Jersey to Philly to Jersey back to Philly. For over an hour, I was glued to my phone watching police follow this white van all over the south Jersey and Philly area. Instantaneously, #PhillyCarChase was born.
Listening to Jim Gardner call the replay [last video] was akin to Harry Kalas calling Chase Utley the man, and I’m not even kidding. It was awesome.
Robert Ritter, the criminal in the chase who was wanted for armed robbery in Oaklyn, and who was also wearing a New York Giants Tiki Barber jersey, made a stop at the Deptford Mall before hightailing it again. Some coverage, followed by videos, courtesy of clutch champion 6abc.
