At the University of Wisconsin today, the Badgers hosted the Northwestern Wildcats, the 21st ranked college football team in the nation. In what should have been a great game to watch from the stands, especially with the winter weather, became a black eye rather quickly. Well, it should anyway. That’s because Badger Nation decided it would be great to throw snowballs at the cheerleaders on the sidelines, forcing them to leave the field.

They did it to their mascot, too.

The police are on it.
C'mon students – we'd rather you not throw snowballs. But please do NOT throw at the field. If you're caught, you will be cited and ejected.

Looks like Iowa Hawkeye fans had the same idiot idea.
Hey @TheIowaHawkeyes. Purdue cheerleaders have been hit with snowballs multiple times get your stadium staff to do something about it

You know, it’s one thing to have a reason to throw snowballs at someone, whether intoxicated with alcohol or not. It’s another to just throw them at random people who don’t deserve it. Way to go, Wisconsin and Iowa. You’re making us look really good right now. Maybe this’ll follow those idiots around for life, too.
