DeSean Jackson Is Sad Because Eagles Fans Booed Him

DeSean Jackson didn’t play a big part, or any part really, in last night’s Eagles-Redskins game. But, that didn’t stop the Philly faithful from booing him whenever he was on the field or touching the ball. I mean, he is on the other team, and he’s been taunting us ever since Chip Kelly kicked his ass out the door a couple years ago. He did so again last night.

Sure, Jackson still has fans locally. The ones that are pissed that Chip got rid of him and gained nothing in return. So, I get that. But after Saturday night’s game, Jackson said getting boos from the fans is disturbing. Here’s a quote from Jackson, via ESPN:

What bothered Jackson were the boos after his plays. It’s safe to say that just as many Eagles fans are upset with management for letting Jackson go as they are with Jackson himself.

Regardless, Jackson didn’t understand why there’s any venom directed his way. It’s not as if he played a starring role with four catches for 40 yards.

“I’ve done some special things,” he said. “In between the lines and out, I put in a lot of hard work, a lot of success and had the city behind me. It’s disturbing to come back and get the boos from the crowd and the fans because it’s not my decision to leave. Chip Kelly released me. Knowing what I did for the city, in the community and things like that, I put my heart into it. That part is frustrating, but it doesn’t get any better than coming in here and winning and putting them out. That guy over there, he was the coach. He made the decision, but I’m happy to be where I’m at, and we’re having a lot of success over here.”

This is going to become a talking point all offseason, methinks. Why in the hell would the fans cheer for Jackson? Honestly. What the hell is he smoking? I don’t want any, because I don’t smoke. But really. It’s stupid for him to think he doesn’t deserve boos, especially after he has openly mocked the Eagles the past two seasons. You think Eagles fans are going to cheer that? Doing stuff like an Eagle flap after scoring a touchdown isn’t going to grant him some good will here.

It’s pretty common in Philly – and really should be common everywhere – to boo the other team’s players. Especially when they taunt us. So, there’s that. Jackson thinking the fans should bend over backwards for him when he comes back to town is laughable. It’s professional sports, buddy. No matter what you did for the local community, when you openly mock the fans of the team you used to play for, you are now public enemy no. 1. Thinking we owe him something in terms of not booing him when he’s on the field? F— off.

DeSean was happy to beat the Eagles. That’s what it comes down to. The division crown was an added bonus for him, and that’s his problem. Get our name outcha mouth, DeSean.

The Eagles fans show no class. I’m so glad they have NO Championships. DeShawn had no hand in his Philly departure. Chip got rid of all the star players on the team. This is why you suck. Boo him!!!!! I’m a Redskin fan, and I would personally like to thank you for your idiotic decisions. Yes Deshawn was held to only 40 yds. You were determined to stop him, and you did. But you forgot about Jordan Reed and our other WR’s You’re the laughing stock of the division. GO Rilley Cooper!!! LOL!!!!!

Also, to the person that wrote this article. Why would “D JAX”, as we affectionately call him here in DC be sad. He looked pretty happy to me after winning the Division Title, and knocking the Eagles out of contention for the second year in a row. Get over yourself. We’re in the Playoffs Baby!!!! Enjoy the game from your couch.
