Last night in Toronto, Nerlens Noel left the game late after taking an elbow to the eye, which would result in a corneal abrasion. The Sixers play tonight in Chicago, so there’s a good chance that he misses the game.
Noel should be considered day-to-day for now, pending any further updates. The Sixers lost to the Raptors 98-76. Brett Brown provided an update on Noel after the game.
“He’s currently at the hospital right now. We’re just taking precautionary measures. We’ll be at 40,000 [feet] in the air. It’s a corneal abrasion. We’ll learn more. To just get it looked at here (Air Canada Centre) and then get on a plane, we didn’t think was wise because of the pressure of being on an airplane heading to Chicago.”
Hopefully the injury isn’t too serious. The Sixers suck, so there’s no reason to rush him back. Here’s video of the injury, courtesy CSN Philly.
