Reports: The Eagles Might Have Their Coach in the Next Day or Two

According to Jason La Canfora, who’s a known shitslinger with the best of them, tweeted out that he wouldn’t be surprised if the Eagles [and Giants] have their new head coach in the fold in the next 24-48 hours.

Now, this is pretty random. I guess if the next 48 hours comes and goes without the Eagles or Giants having a new head coach, then La Canfora will be surprised. If La Canfora’s gut feelings aren’t just gas, then this narrows the list for the Eagles’ candidates, because Doug Pederson, who might or might not be the frontrunner for the job [you like how I did that?] is currently coaching for the Chiefs against the Patriots and cannot be hired until after his team has been eliminated from the playoffs. So, if the Eagles were to hire their new head coach within the next two days, it won’t be Pederson. Coughlin? McAdoo? Staley? Joe Gibbs?

UPDATE: Tim McManus, who is more plugged in with the Eagles than La Canfora, also thinks the Eagles could name their coach as early as tomorrow.

McAdoodle doo, folks!
