Unfortunately for us hockey fans, we have to see Mike Milbury on our television screens every week on the NBC Sports Network for whatever reason. He rarely adds anything to the discussion and it a poor man’s American version of Don Cherry.
But make no mistake about it, Mike Milbury has said before that he doesn’t like the Flyers or their fans before. He doesn’t have a good rapport with Philadelphia or its fans. He played for the Bruins in the ’70s and ’80s, and when he was the coach of the Bruins, Boston would become a pretty good hockey team under him. And then he promptly went on a downward spiral, becoming one of the worst coaches and executives in NHL history. That’s right – HISTORY. Boom. Roasted.
Last night before the Flyers hosted the Bruins for Rivalry Night on the NBC Sports Network, Milbury had some choice words for the Flyers, their fans, and their cancer-beating owner. He didn’t mince words, but couldn’t have sounded more like a jackass if he tried.
Mike Milbury flat-out hates everything about the Philadelphia Flyers, including their fans. pic.twitter.com/AKM4MGdj1v

I will tell you that I still hate Philadelphia and the Flyers. I do. I do. I hate their fans. I hate their owner. You know, I mean, he’s a good guy, Ed Snider. But, I just can’t stand – I have a history here that prevents me from being anything close to social and gracious.”
No worries, Flyers fans. Jonesy has our backs.
They speak really highly of you. Not!”
The Flyers would come back from a 2-1 deficit in the third period to win a highly entertaining game, 3-2. And this is how that sounded.
Safe to say, fans liked that comeback win pic.twitter.com/gbukc3rNlv

Suck it, Milbury.
When you represent the NBC Sports Network, you should be professional, your comments are a reflection of NBC. Many people may now question why a network would retain such a person. Mike Milbury can not blame Philly, the Flyers or Flyers fans for his being one of the worst coaches and executives in NHL history. Really Mike, grow up!
Yes, Mike, you DO have a history…worst NHL coach ever, and terrible at what you get paid for now…To be a reporter, not a opinion maker. Sure hope your car never breaks down in Philly….
Thanks Phillyinfluencer, for opening up your comment section, and giving Philly fans a better alternative to crossing broad.
I think Mike Milbury should be fired no sportscaster should be prejudiced about race or city or country. I want to say Philadelphia is a Great hockey town.
