Report: Eagles and Fletcher Cox Close to Finalizing New Contract

According NJ.com’s Eliot Shorr-Parks, the Eagles and Fletcher Cox are close to finalizing a long-term deal that’ll keep the big guy in midnight green (ew) for the foreseeable future.

The Eagles and Cox are working towards a new contract, a source familiar with the situation who requested anonymity had informed NJ Advance Media, and are close to coming to an agreement.

Cox has one-year left on his current contract, the deal he signed as a first-round pick in 2012.

Cox had 9.5 sacks this past season to go with 50 solo tackles and 75 combined. He’s only missed one game so far in his four-year career.

Cox would be an unrestricted free agent after next season should he and the team not come to an agreement. Say what you want about Howie Roseman, but he’s a man on a mission right now. And I like it.

Kyle blocked me for taking swipes at him. Nothing vulgar, nothing profane. Guess I hit him where it hurts. Brace, you are a knucklehead. But you’ve put a decent site together with far more interesting things to read. Seems everything on CB is self-serving or a boring, poorly worded and grossly mis-spelled Jim post.

I was the person to get “Philly Influencer” on the banned list there.

I had posted something about how Philly Influencer had a story 2 hours before Crossing Broad. It was the first comment on a story. BOOM! BANNED!
