The day after Christmas, Al Jazeera disclosed a bombshell report that many reputable professional athletes were being sent HGH, including Ryan Howard. Which is sad. Howard’s attorney vowed to fight those allegations not long after.
Needless to say, whether the allegations are true or not, it left a bad taste in Howard’s mouth. It left a bad taste in all of our mouths. And today, Howard struck back.
Today I authorized my attorneys to file suit against Al Jazeera and its reporters,” Howard said in a statement. “Their irresponsible reporting forced me to take this action to protect my name and to fight back against the spreading of these lies. I will have no further comment, as the filing itself contains all I need to say.”
I would love to believe Howard didn’t touch HGH, and we need a clean 2008 championship. If it’s tainted, then I’m not sure how I would react. Not well, probably. Go get ’em, Ryan.
