Philadelphia Eagle Brent Celek has signed a lease to take over a restaurant currently located in front of the Bellevue (220 S. Broad St.) this week. Celek recently re-signed with the Birds for a three-year, $13 million dollar contract extension, $6 million of which is guaranteed. He then said Philly was the greatest city to play for.

He’s always been quite fond of the City of Brotherly Love, so it’s not surprising to see him do something like this and this isn’t the first time that he’s been involved in the restaurant business. In 2013, he and Hee Chang opened a restaurant on Chestnut Street called Prime Stache. He also opened a bar with Todd Herremans in 2011 called the 879 Lounge before Prime Stache took it over.
This new restaurant will have a Korean theme to it. The restaurant will be called Bop. Celek is again teaming with Chang on this and along with Scott Keenan signed the lease on Wednesday. The plan is for Bop to open in April. NFL Draft party, anyone?
Celek who has 371 career receptions for 30 touchdowns will be entering his tenth season in the NFL. I definitely consider myself a “Foodie” so I no doubt will be checking out this new restaurant once it opens.
Yo, Cuz! Is that bo gonna have a meat locker?!?
