We told you yesterday how Wayne Simmonds received a match penalty for a hit on Ryan McDonagh. According to Dave Isaac of the Courier Post, a league source has stated that Simmonds will NOT be suspended for the hit.
League source says no hearing for Wayne Simmonds. He will not be suspended. @SWhyno notes the match penalty won't be rescinded.

Considering it was a weak call by the refs, this shouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone. Simmonds will be in the Flyers’ lineup against the Capitals on Sunday afternoon.
