We told you the other day that the Eagles and Fletcher Cox were close to finalizing a new contract. Now numbers for the contract are being thrown out per a report from Howard Eskin and it looks like Cox is set to become very wealthy.
Eskin states that while negotiations continue between the two sides, Cox could be looking at a deal worth $100 million dollars, 60-70 of which could be guaranteed. That’s huge and it would be well deserved as Cox has been the team’s defensive MVP for years.

Fletcher Cox #eagles would be one of top 3 to 4 at his position when deal gets done. And he clearly is at that level in #NFL @FOX29philly

The Eagles opened contract talks with Cox at this week’s Senior Bowl. Cox led the Eagles with 9.5 sacks this season. Getting this deal done with Cox should be the Eagles top priority as he’s the heart and soul of not only the defense, but of the team.
I need more of that in my life!
