According to ProFootballTalk, the New Orleans Saints are bracing themselves to be on HBO’s “Hard Knocks” this year. There are seven teams that are eligible to be forced onto Hard Knocks by the NFL and they are the Bills, Saints, Chargers, Rams, Raiders, Jaguars, and Bears.
Here’s the criteria of what teams can say no to being on the show.
“Only teams that: (1) have a new coach; (2) have been to the postseason in either of the last two years; or (3) have served as the Hard Knocks subject within the last 10 years can say no.”
So there that is. I can’t say that the Saints have anything to offer me to want to tune in other than the fact that it’s the NFL and I love the NFL. Perhaps Sean Payton will be interesting, but that’s about it. In any event, there should be an official announcement soon.
