We might have witnessed the save of the year last night when the Flyers played the Wild. With the Flyers leading 3-2 with seconds left in Thursday night’s game, Michal Neuvirth was on his side and lunged for the puck with both arms extended and managed to get make the save of his lifetime. He got a piece of it with the goalie stick, essentially taking the puck right off the goal line before covering it with 1.6 seconds to go.
The save is so good that I just find myself watching it over and over again. And so is everyone else in the world. Everyone.
WHAT?
NO!
HOW?

That was stunning. Here’s Neuvirth talking about the save of the season after the game.
miracle save……but my question is, why would THREE Flyers try to block the shot/pass (none of them did) while leaving a guy ALL BY HIMSELF with seconds to go…..jeezus, that was lucky. Too many time I’ve seen them give up a late goal this year.
