Word just came down, so we wanted to update you. Chris Vandevelde has officially been suspended 2 games by the NHL Player’s Safety Committee for his elbow to the head of Jonathan Toews the other night.

This is no surprise, and it was a dirty hit. Vandevelde deserved the punishment, and now we can move on to continuing our hot streak and push towards the playoffs.
