Well, it’s happened. Sam Bradford won’t hit free agency and he won’t exactly be the Eagles’ quarterback of the future. The Eagles just announced they’ve agreed to a new contract with Bradford.
According to Adam Schefter, the Eagles and Bradford have agreed to a new two-year, $36 million contract, withย $26 million guaranteed.
Eagles gave QB Sam Bradford a two-year, $36 million deal, including $26 million guaranteed, per source.

I’ll say this – I’m glad it’s not a long-term deal. $18 million per year is a little steep, though. However, if you look at it as $13 million per year due to the guaranteed money, it doesn’t sound bad at all. Get ready for the pundits to tell you how to feel about this, and however you feel about it – YOU’RE WRONG!
I also don’t think this eliminates the possibility for the Eagles to get rid of Mark Sanchez and draft a quarterback. In fact, I think that’s likely to happen now due to the length of this deal.
Jordan Matthews likes it. After the season, he was adamant about Bradford returning.

And so does the newly engaged Zach Ertz.

The reason why there hasn’t been a press conference announced just yet – Bradford is in Oklahoma and hasn’t signed the deal yet.
Bradford is in Oklahoma and hasn't actually signed the deal, so there's no press conference set yet, no giddy quotes Eagles can email, etc.

More coming.
