Last Monday night will be talked about for a long, long time. The ugliness that some of the Flyers fans showed will give enough ammunition to the national, and even some local, pundits to poke and jab at us for the next few decades centuries. But today, in what became a pretty lopsided loss to the best team in the NHL [though, it doesn’t necessarily show that on the scoreboard], the fans didn’t throw anything on the ice. They didn’t boo. They stood up and cheered their team because they realize just how hard they’ve worked to get where they are.
Standing ovation and a Let's Go Flyers chant. This team defied expectations and the future is bright. pic.twitter.com/W9eBTX99Kw
