Yesterday, Vince Velasquez underwent an MRI to determine if there was any more damage to his right biceps muscle other than just a strain. Velasquez left Wednesday’s game after two pitches, coincidentally hours after we posted this interview with Larry Bowa from Monday saying the Phillies were going to limit his innings count this season.
It turns out the right-hander has landed on the 15-day disabled list with a right biceps strain, the Phillies just officially announced.
#Phillies placed RHP Vince Velasquez on the 15-day DL with a right biceps strain and recalled RHP Luis Garcia from Lehigh Valley (AAA).
