Pro Football Talk’s Mike Florio and J.J. Watt Engaged in an Entertaining Spat on Twitter

I saw this play out in real time and was just as confused as anybody. Why in the hell would Pro Football Talk, or more importantly, Mike Florio, care about what J.J. Watt posts on Twitter?

I came across this article penned by Florio back in April where he lays into Watt for the criticism the Houston Texan had regarding social media use. Florio went at Watt pretty hard,

Last night after the U.S. men’s soccer team took the pitch to play Argentina, Watt tweeted out this photo with a rather tight kit in a show of support for the U.S., and even adding a funny line about being ready if called upon. No harm, no foul, right?

Weeeeeeellllllllllllllllllllllll, not really. Florio, presumably the one running the Pro Football Talk Twitter account because who else would, stepped in and took a shot at Watt.

Shots fired, yo. Watt retorted 23 minutes later. Because timestamps.

Stay off my page, bro. Nothing to see here if you don’t want to.

You know what? WIP’s Josh Innes talks the same way about Watt as Florio did here. He claims Watt was a phony while he was in Houston working for 610 AM KILT. And I guess he hasn’t changed? I don’t know. I’ve never met the guy.

Funnily enough, Watt’s pinned tweet from March says the following:

Ah. June. How I missed thee.
