For those that don’t know, I’m also the pro wrestling contributor for PhillyVoice.com. You can find all of my work for them right here.
WWE will invade Brooklyn, New York again this weekend for their second straight SummerSlam event from the Barclays Center. We’ll have NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn II to look forward to tomorrow night, and it doesn’t end there. SummerSlam on Sunday night and Raw on Monday night will also emanate from the Barclays Center.
It’ll be WWE’s first event after their brand extension took place on July 25. It’ll be interesting to see what happens from here moving forward on each show. Will Finn Bálor become the first-ever WWE Universal Champion? Who will win in John Cena vs. AJ Styles II? Can Randy Orton defeat Brock Lesnar? And will Sasha Banks retain the WWE Women’s Championship against Charlotte almost exactly one year after losing the NXT Women’s Championship to Bayley in the same arena?
You can read my full, in-depth preview and predictions for the event right here.
