The Eagles Are the Favorites to Win the NFC East

Carson Wentz has had a blistering three-game start to his career and the defense is playing lights out. The Philadephia Eagles are 3-0 and Las Vegas has taken notice.

The following is from Dave Zangaro of CSN Philly.

According to Bovada, the Eagles’ odds to win the Super Bowl went from 33/1 to 22/1. Just nine teams have shorter odds to win the Super Bowl. The Patriots are tops at 15/4, followed by the Packers (8/1) and the team the Eagles beat, the Steelers (9/1).

With the win, the Eagles also became the favorite to win the NFC East, going from 11/4 to 2/1. They’re followed by the Cowboys and Giants (both at 11/5) and last year’s division champs, Washington, is at 6/1.

The Eagles are also 12/1 to win the NFC.

The Eagles have outscored opponents 92-27 and haven’t committed a turnover yet. The defense is allowing only nine points per game, the fewest in the league. The offense is second in points, trailing only the Atlanta Falcons. Carson Wentz looks as calm and composed as a seasoned veteran would be. He barks at the line and audibles, something most quarterbacks don’t do. Philadelphia definitely looks like the best team in the division.

The Birds were about 200/1 odds at some point before the season of winning the Super Bowl.  This is insane, it’s hard to wrap your head around.

But hopefully it continues.
