Joel Embiid Sets Another Preseason High in Sixers’ Blowout Loss to the Grizzlies

The minutes aren’t increasing yet, but the production is.

Joel Embiid had 13 points and five rebounds in another 12-minute outing, but the Philadelphia 76ers were routed by the Memphis Grizzlies 121-91 in preseason action on Tuesday night.

Embiid was 3-of-7 from the floor, 7-of-8 from the foul line and 0-of-2 from beyond the arc in a game that wasn’t broadcasted in Philadelphia. His 13 points was a preseason high, a second game in a row in which he set one. You can view the Comcast SportsNet highlights below.

That follow-up dunk was awesome!

Dario Saric was held out of the game for rest. Timothe Luwawu matched Embiid’s team-high of 13 points and added nine rebounds and Gerald Henderson was the only one in double digits with 10 for the Sixers, who fell to 1-3 on the preseason.

Troy Williams led Memphis with 22 points and seven rebounds.
