It’s been a long ten weeks. The Eagles have gone from 3-1 to 5-9 in the time Lane Johnson served his 10-game suspension. Not all of the blame can be placed at the feet of Johnson – the defense has been terrible and the wide receivers have let the team down week in and week out.
But Carson Wentz has also felt a lot of pressure in those weeks, and you can attribute some of that to Johnson’s absence, but not all of it. Halapoulivaati Vaitai and Allen Barbre played relatively well, all things considered. It certainly wasn’t a Winston Justice or King Dunlap situation.
But now Johnson returns for the final two games of the 2016 season. He should be plugged right in there to help protect Wentz in the final two games.
