If Bennie Logan and the Eagles have begun contract talks, he sure didn’t let anyone know during his appearance on 94 WIP Wednesday night. However, after practice on Wednesday, Nolan Carroll said that his agent and the Eagles have begun contract extension talks. [NJ.com]
“They’re starting. I have a new agent so we’ll see how it goes … I’d like to come back, but it’s not just up to me,” Carroll, who has one interception and 14 pass breakups, said. “We’ll see what happens.”

Last offseason, Carroll was a free agent and coming off a broken leg. He was offered a deal by the Dallas Cowboys, but turned it down to return to the Eagles one a one-year deal. Does he regret his decision?
“No. My whole thing was to show I was healthy. This season hasn’t gone as I had hoped. But it was a learning experience. It took some time to get adjusted to a different scheme, we had to focus on different things.”
Caroll not returning to the club would make a poor secondary even poorer, unless the Eagles can find a way to sign another cornerback or draft one that can make an immediate difference. We’ll be highlighting possible free agents and draft picks in early 2017, so stay tuned for that.
