The Eagles Have Fired Wide Receivers Coach Greg Lewis

Greg Lewis was doomed from the start.

The Philadelphia Eagles fired the wide receivers coach Lewis on Monday, according to Yahoo’s Charles Robinson.

I mean, what did you expect from a crop of Jordan Matthews, Nelson Agholor, Paul Turner, Dorial Green-Beckham and Bryce Treggs? The 36-year-old Lewis lasted just one season with the Eagles as wide receivers coach. Second-year wideout Green-Beckham was a disappointment and Agholor didn’t take any leaps forward from a disastrous rookie season. He had just 36 receptions for 365 yards and two touchdowns. The Eagles were 24th in receiving yards and caught the third fewest touchdowns with 16.

Can confirm Greg Lewis is out as WR coach, as reported by @CharlesRobinson …Eagles relied on young WRs, they didn't develop quickly.
