The Flyers Somehow Landed the No. 2 Pick in the NHL Draft

IS PHILLY ON FIRE THIS WEEKEND OR WHAT!?

Somehow, someway, the Philadelphia Flyers just made a great weekend in Philly even better. Predicted to go as high as getting the 13th overall pick in June’s NHL Entry Draft, the Flyers jumped all the way up – with a 2.2% chance to land the first overall pick – and will pick second overall in the upcoming draft.

The New Jersey Devils – who, yes, are owned by Joshua Harris – landed the first overall pick for the first time in franchise history.

The Colorado Avalanche, who had the worst record in the league by far this season, amassing only 48 points, will pick fourth overall.

The NHL Draft will begin on June 23rd in Chicago. Let’s exorcise the JVR demons, eh?
