Parks On Tap This Week: Schuylkill Banks & Jefferson Square Park

Parks on Tap will be perched on the edges of the Schuylkill Banks for the second week in a row. Located south of the Fairmount Water Works, this local jewel of a location will have free yoga, food trucks in the vicinity, and the best beers on tap. There are plenty of walking and biking trails as well. The event will also make stops at Jefferson Square Park as well.

This Week’s Center City Sips Picks: Jane G’s, Smith’s Restaurant & Bar, Boxers

Each Wednesday between the hours of 5PM-7PM the areas of Avenue of the Arts, Center City East, Center City West, and Rittenhouse Square participate in Center City Sips. Over 80 participating locations have $5 cocktails, $4 wines, $3 beers, and appetizer discounts. Here are this week’s best deals:

Jane G’s: This Asian infused long noodle heaven has an excellent raw bar and a fantastic wine list. For Center City Sips you can get $3 Tsing Tao, Yards, and Yuengling. The house red and white wines are also a part of the deal. Try anything from their Beef tendons in chili oil to their scrumptious sesame noodles.

Smith’s:  This American grub and food hotspot offers you a great sports bar atmosphere. At Smith’s Restaurant & Bar you’ll find Labatt Blue and Victory Summer Love prices slashed during Center City Sips. Taste the wines from the exclusive Wednesday deals including Chardonnay and Pinot Noir.

Boxers: Speaking of wines, Boxers has a Center City Sips list that includes Sauvignon Blanc, Reisling, Pinot, Malbec, Chardonnay, Cabernet, Merlot, and more. This is one of Philadelphia’s premier gay sports bars. The establishment may be the only place in town you’ll see shirtless bartenders serving up drinks.

This Week’s Old City Eats Picks: Buffalo Billiards, Capofitto, Red Owl Tavern

Each Thursday between the hours of 5PM-8PM Philadelphia historic district Old City participates in Old City Eats. Over 25 participating locations have half-priced appetizers, $4 beers, $5 cocktails, and other drink specials. Here are this week’s best deals:

Buffalo Billiards: Buffalo Billiards has wings, fried pickles, fried mozzarella, beef and chicken taquitos,  chili cheese fries and more up for grabs and grub each Wednesday. Well drinks featuring Faber vodka, rum, and gin are the cocktails of choice at this establishment during the Old City Eats times each week.

Capofitto: At Capofitto you can get eggplant meatballs, a beautiful pecorino, fontina, and saffron risotto, and many more delicious trays. Try the key lime martini to pair with your food at a discounted prices and enjoy the $4 Landshark beers while you’re there.

Red Owl Tavern: The Red Owl Tavern offers fried calamari with cherry peppers and citrus aioli for their guests during Old City Eats. The cocktail each week is seasonal and features Faber liquors. People coming to the eatery during Eats will be happy with the premium Lancaster Kolsch deals the establishment has.

Rosé Week: It’s Rosé week on 13th Street. Establishments such as Barbuzzo and Lolita will be having special events throughout the week circling around this beloved beverage.

Damn Tour After Party: Rumor will be the destination for the Damn Tour After Party tonight. After fans go see enigmatic rapper Kendrick Lamar and Travis Scott they’ll have the treat of dancing the night away at this amazing nightlife spot. Sponsored by Hennessy, this event will have something for everyone.

KW Philly Grand Opening: KW Philly is opening up at a new Market Center location. The grand opening party is this Thursday. There will be beer pong and corn hole prizes. There will also be food trucks at this event and massages. The hours are from 4PM-7PM

DJ Deejay Boat Party: This Friday Moshulu will be a hosting a boat party between the hours of 10PM-2AM. It’s $10 at the door and the spanning boat will be playing the best in Top 40 and throwback musical hits.

UPPN Pop Up Beer Garden Mixer: This Friday UPPN will be having a pop up beer garden networking and happy hour event. From 5:30PM-9:30PM there will be great drinks, botanical cocktails, plenty of food, craft brews, music, and more. This is a free with RSVP event.

Aura Fridays: Fridays at Aura are all about D’USSE. From the hours of 10PM to 2AM, this two-floor venue will have you dancing all night long. There’s a one-hour open bar with RSVP and discounted bottles of D’USSE until 12AM.

Punch Line Philly Turn Up: Sizzling music man DJ Envy will be in the mix at Punch Line Philly This Sunday.  There will be an Effen Vodka tasting at this day party that kicks off at 3 PM and runs until 8PM at the venue.

Philadelphia Wine & Craft Cocktail Festival 

Where: SugarHouse Casino, 1001 N. Delaware Ave.
When: Thursday, July 27th, 5:30PM-9:30PM

The Philadelphia Wine & Craft Cocktail Festival is two weeks away! There will be unlimited samples of wine, cocktails, and tasty pairing bites. There will also be tremendous live music at this annual beverage themed blowout. Guests will receive a complimentary sampling glass and $20 in free slot play at the casino.
