Alshon Jeffery Could Make His Eagles Debut on Thursday Night

Doug Pederson said today during his press conference that Alshon Jeffery could make his Eagles debut on Thursday night against the Buffalo Bills. When asked if Jeffery would give it a go, Pederson gave the following answer:

“I’m still working through that. I am leaning towards him playing, yes. He feels comfortable. We’ve talked about it, so I feel comfortable with him going.”

While it would make sense to sit Jeffery out and have him debut next week just to be sure, it sounds like Jeffery’s shoulder injury isn’t going to keep him out of game action this week. Of course, the third preseason game is where the starters get the bulk of the snaps, so Jeffery should see significant playing time next week against the Miami Dolphins.

Pederson also mentioned that Carson Wentz could likely play one, at most two, drives in the first quarter. Ronald Darby will also get game action. You can watch Pederson’s press conference below.
