After dealing a 3rd-round pick in the trade to acquire cornerback Ronald Darby a week ago, the Philadelphia Eagles were able to get some ammunition back on Monday. The Eagles sent tackle Matt Tobin and a seventh-round draft pick to the Seattle Seahawks in exchange for a 5th-rounder.
While the Eagles have struggled along the offensive line so far in the preseason, getting a fifth for Tobin is a steal! They still don’t have a draft pick in the second or third rounds, but have three fourths and now two fifths. Expect Howie Roseman to work some magic and get back into day 2.
After Tobin trade, here are #Eagles 2018 draft picks:
1st
4th
4th (MIN for Bradford)
4th (NE for Rowe, can turn into 3rd)
5th
5th
6th— Gayle Saunders (@EagleSessions) August 21, 2017
The Seahawks are in desperation mode following the ACL injury to George Fant, who was projected to be Seattle’s starting left tackle. The offensive line in Seattle was already a mess before the injury, so it overpaid to acquire Tobin.
