Report: Darren Sproles Tore His ACL and Broke His Arm on the Same Play

Philadelphia Eagles running back Darren Sproles tore his ACL and broke his arm on the same play during the Eagles’ 27-24 win over the Giants, according to a report by Ian Rapoport.

At 34, Sproles said that the 2017 season will be his last. We’ll see if he just played his last game as an Eagle. This is devastating news, Rapoport reported Sunday that Sproles had a broken arm. There was nothing about the ACL tear.

Here’s when the injury occurred.

Sproles will join fellow running back Donnel Pumphrey on IR. The Eagles are now down to three backs after keeping five to start the season. LeGarrette Blount, Corey Clement and Wendell Smallwood are the healthy backs on the roster.
