This Week in Cocktails: Parks on Tap Lineup

Parks On Tap announced the lineup for its 2018 season a week ago. The nomadic beer garden and food truck oasis will be making its triumphant return to Philadelphia on Wednesday, April 25th. As a partnership between the Philadelphia Parks Association and the Fairmount Park Conservancy, the traveling beer garden will span 23 different parks in 23 different weeks. The locations will feature hammocks, beer, wine, bike shares at some locations, food, family-friendly programming, and dogs are welcome.

Thursday, April 19th is National Amaretto Day

Philadelphia is a major spanning city. It’s always brimming with exciting new activities and things to do each week. Sometimes answering the simple question of where to eat or get a quick drink can be overwhelming. Each week Philly Influencer will highlight some new places and local favorites to add to your list. 

Independence Beer Garden: Independence Beer Garden will be hosting a mini sneak peek to the upcoming season this weekend. This Friday through Sunday will have all the brews, flavorful menu bites, cocktails, and wine.  The establishment will have several sandwiches, burgers, salads, sides, and snacks. Come to the wonderous and scenic location with some friends for a good time.

Love City Brewery: Love City Brewery is the newest brewery to hit the streets of Philadelphia. The industrial space opens this Thursday at 4 p.m. Come out to the Callowhill location for fantastic brews, amazing pub grub, and more.

Morgan’s Pier: Morgan’s Pier beer garden and deck Thursday. The waterfront beauty has over 40 brews, sandwiches, burgers, tacos, and more snacks. The venue often has live entertainment, attractions, and social events.

Taqueria Feliz: The week begins Manayunk Restaurant Week. The food inclusive will run through Friday, April 27th. Come out for three-course, prix fixe menus ranging from $15-35 per person. One of the best places to stop by is Taqueria Feliz. The place includes a unique and funky decor, an amazing happy hour flavorful guacamoles, enchiladas, and more.

Sittin’ In: Tonight the Kimmel Center will be hosting a free jazz event starting at 9 p.m. Sittin’ In will be a massive jam session of local talent as they celebrate jazz musicians or soul vocalists. There will be cocktails and more available for purchase.

76ers Watch Party: This Thursday night, JJ Bootleggers will be hosting a free with RSVP 76ers watch party. If you arrive between the hours of 6:30 p.m.-8:30 p.m. you will receive a complimentary Bud Light.

Dining Out For Life: Over 200 local restaurants will be hosting a great night of dining for a good cause. Dining Out For Life will be the highlight of this Thursday. Diners who go back to this establishment will be prided by the fact 33 percent of the day’s sales will go to the AIDS service organization.

Amaretto Day Celebration: The Alchemist Society will be celebrating this popular Italian liqueur this Thursday from 7 p.m.-9 p.m. The event will have tastings of homemade amaretto and instructionals on how to make three cocktails with the beverage.

Locals Only Beer Fest: This Saturday, the Seaport Independence Museum will be hosting a Locals Only Beer Festival. There will be countless breweries represented from the region, live entertainment, food, museum tours, free prizes, and more.

Philly Loves Prince: Johnny Brenda’s will be having a Prince night this Saturday at 9 p.m. The establishment will be blasting the legendary music act’s work all night, will have drink specials, an open dance floor, and much more.

Beer Brunch Fizzics: The Yards Brewing Company will be partnering with the Philadelphia Science Festival for this amazing event. This Sunday from 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. the brewery will be illustrating the science behind the foam in our beverages. There will be brews available and brunch fare at.
