This Week in Cocktails: Parks on Tap at Schuylkill Banks
Parks On Tap is at Schuylkill Banks this week. The beautiful terrain will be bursting with lively guest, food trucks, the best brews, and more. On Thursday from 6-7 pm, there will be free yoga in the park. The hours for this roaming beer garden are Wednesday and Thursday 5– 10 pm, Friday 4–11 pm, Saturday 1-11 pm, and Sunday 12– 10 pm.

Opening this Week: Old City Eats
The celebration of food and drinks in Philadelphia’s historic areas is resurrecting this week. Old City Eats is back on the menu. Each Thursday between the hours of 5 pm-8 pm Philadelphia participates in Old City Eats. Over 25 participating locations have half-priced appetizers, $4 beers, $5 cocktails, and other drink specials. This week there will be a kick-off block party at 2nd and Market.

Each Wednesday between the hours of 5PM-7PM the areas of Avenue of the Arts, Center City East, Center City West, and Rittenhouse Square participate in Center City Sips. Over 80 participating locations have $5 cocktails, $4 wines, $3 beers, and appetizer discounts. Here are this week’s best deals
Milkboy: This part coffee shop, part music venue, and all around bar has a relaxed and casual vibe that is a must after a crazy day in the office. Milkboy has two locations in the city. From nachos, to hummus, and to amazing wings, the appetizers here track the spectrum of pub grub. There are also great beer and wine selections at each location.
Opa: With $4 chicken and pork souvlakia, crispy calamari, and a specialty drink list that’s amazing, this Greek downtown spot has something for everyone. Pick from various $3 beer options including Landshark, Stella Cidre, and Corona Light. Be sure to stop by the Drury Beer Garden adjacent to the establishment for a tremendous outdoor experience.
Spice 28: This Asian eatery is one of the cocktail gems of CC Sips. For as low as $5 a pop you can get almost any cocktail you can think of. All-American BBQ: This Wednesday through Sunday, the All-American BBQ will be outlining City Hall. There will be drinks, tremendous BBQ food, and more. Dilworth Park will be booming with the sounds of live entertainment, DJs, games, and plenty of other activities. The weekday hours are 5-9 pm. The weekend hours are 12-6 pm.
Summer Nights Concert Series: Running Wednesdays, June 20th through September 5th, the eighth season of Penn Museum’s Summer Concert Series begins this Wednesday. The outdoor musical extravaganza is from 5-8 pm. There will be tremendous sounds of “Creole Zydeco, Latin Jazz, Middle Eastern folk, Pre-Revolutionary Cuba, and more” through the weeks.
Night Market: This Thursday, the Night Market will be taking over Gayborhood. Center City will be filled with this amazing summertime night food blowout. This is the second pops up in the series. There will be countless food trucks, live music, drinks, and masses of people enjoying great food and the beautiful weather.
Sudz, Splitz & Spritz: Every Thursday, starting at 5 pm, the area around Square 1682 will be transformed into an amazing happy hour block party. There will be live musical entertainment and lawn games. Enjoy $5 bar snacks, a selection of $3 beers and $5 wines, and $7 craft cocktails.
Rev’s Retro Summer: Rev Theatre Company will be hosting 1940s cabaret-themed performances over the next seven days. There will be wonderful musical productions taking place in spacious local parks. This Thursday come out to Bardascino Park (10th & Carpenter). Friday’s performance will take place at Dickinson Square Park (4th & Tasker). On Wednesday, June 27th, bring your friends and family out to Hawthorne Park (12th & Catharine). The performances start at 7 pm.

Mr. Brightside: 2000’s Indie Night: This Friday, The Foundry will be hosting Indie Night. The dance party begins at 10:30 pm and will go until 2:30 am. All the hits from the 2000’s will be played as you dance the night away to the sounds of adolescence.
Molestice 2018: This free annual block party is one of the highlights of the Summer season. Mole street will feature the sounds of Worldtown Soundsystem, Hardwork Movement, and the headliner Nicole Atkins. Fergie’s Pub will be supplying the drinks and cocktails for the live music festival running from 12-8 pm.
Summer Ale Festival: Bring your friend’s out to the Philadelphia Zoo this Saturday from 7-10 pm for the 2018 Summer Ale Festival. The will feature specialty brews from over 150 vendors, food trucks, animals, live entertainment, music, games, and more.
Bluebird Distilling 3rd Anniversary Party: This Sunday, Bluebird Distilling will be celebrating their third anniversary in style with Bluebird Bonanza. Their all-day indoor-outdoor party will be from 12-11 pm. Beverage Manager Matt Giarratano will be serving up complimentary tastings of Bluebird’s several grain-to-glass spirits. KaChi Korean Food Truck will be on site selling simmering dishes to pair with your favorite drink. There will be games, giveaways, prizes and more.
