At 25-years old, Aaron Nola is the youngest Phillies pitcher to receive an All-Star nomination since Cole Hamels in 2007.
While it is a little shocking that no other Phillies player was voted into the All-Star game, the one player who absolutely deserved the nod got it.

The stats say it all. Nola is a bonafide stud and an ace if I’ve ever seen one. The other starting pitchers that are worth noting are Max Scherzer and Jon Lester. National League manager, Dave Roberts, doesn’t plan to announce the starter until closer to game time.
Congratulations, Nola! You earned it.
