The Spotlight of the Week: Seasonal Sensations 

( Pumpkin Smash at Bluebird Distilling)

Baker Street Bread Co: Baker Street Bread Co has wonderful Pumpkin Cranberry Boules and scrumptious Pumpkin Cranberry Scones this October. These hand-crafted loaves of bread and fall bites are made with great skill. Infused with pumpkin and cranberry, both the boule and the scone masterfully bring together the flavors of fall.

Barry’s Buns: Barry’s Buns at The Bourse Pumpkin Pie Sticky Buns beautiful scents are filling the air this fall. These pastries are rolled with brown sugar, cinnamon, pumpkin, and topped with Barry’s signature glaze, this delicious seasonal pastry is available at The Bourse all of October.

Bluebird Distilling: The Pumpkin Smash is a perfect fall beverage.  It beautifully blends the nutty flavors of White Rye Whiskey, egg white, and cinnamon. These elements layered together, provide the perfect mirror of a savory pumpkin pie. The Phoenixville distillery will be serving up these great cocktails and plenty others through the season.

Red Owl Tavern: Red Owl Tavern features a delicious Pumpkin Cassis Cheesecake this season. The Old City restaurant and bar has enhanced this quintessential fall dessert. The delectable dish includes autumnal flavors, including cinnamon, clove, vanilla, and, of course, pumpkin. This seasonal delight is a must-try off of Chef Bobby’s new fall dessert menu in Old City!

Joe’s Steaks + Soda Shop: Joe’s Steaks + Soda Shop already introduced something orange and delicious to the region when they made the “Gettin’ Gritty Wit It”.  Now they’re whipping up some Pumpkin Pie Milkshakes for the season. Pair the seasonal beverage with one of Joe’s famed cheesesteaks for the perfect fall pairing — trust us. The milkshake is available at both Torresdale and Fishtown locations.

Each week, Philly Influencer picks the best parties, events, and social gatherings the area has to offer.

Philly Cider Week: This week continues the annual libation celebration of Philly Cider Week. Several bars, restaurants, lounges, and beer gardens in the city will be participating in this seasonal week. Stop by the countless locations in the area and get some tremendous brews.

Whiskey and Fine Spirits Festival: This Thursday Lincoln Financial Field will be filled with over 250 kinds of whiskey, scotch, bourbon, tequila, gin, rum, and vodka. There will also be live entertainment, distillers on-hand, food vendors, activities, and more at this event.

Dinos After Dark:  Dinosaur Hall will be filled with the wonder and splendor of Dinos After Dark this Friday night. From 4-8 p.m the beer garden will be open,  gallery access will be available, and engaging activities will take over the Academy of Natual Sciences.

Philly Apocolypse Party: This Friday night come out to the Warehouse on Watts from 10 pm to 3:30 am for an underground blowout like no other. This hush BYOB warehouse party will have DJs, extreme lighting, and more.

East Passyunk Fall Fest: East Passyunk Ave will be bustling with prizes, games, pumpkin carvings, and more. The Fall Fest will have live music, food,  trick or treat down East Passyunk, and to dress up your kid or dog for a costume contest. There will be tons of cocktails and brews available too at this Saturday event.

Hound-O-Ween: Bring your do to The Schmidt’s Commons this weekend. There will be pet costumes for sale, display, and a contest. You can get two tacos for $5 from Northern Liberties restaurants. Pair your tacos with cocktails from New Liberty Distilling.

Horcrux Hunt: Come out to this to Old City this Saturday to capture all seven Horcruxes. This amazing scavenger hunt and bar crawl will be the highlight any true Potter fan’s weekend. After you’ve found them all, head back to the Victoria Freehouse for some drinks.

Bottomless Brunch & Trap: Haute Lounge will feature Bottomless Brunch & Trap this Saturday. The menu includes chicken and waffles, French toast, and other brunch favorites. There will be unlimited mimosas or bellinis, and non-stop trap music. The party will be going from 11 am-6pm

The Great Gatsby Halloween Party: This Saturday night the Mummers Museum will be hosting their annual The Great Gatsby Halloween party. There will be live music performed by Drew Nugent and the Midnight Society, food, and open bar, and more at this 1920’s themed soiree and celebration.
