2. Miracle on 13th St.

South 13th Street produces a dynamic light show each year. The Miracle on 13th Street Holiday Light Display spans the entire avenue and illuminates this cherished area of the city. Come out to this neighborhood festival of lights before the year ends.

3. Philadelphia Museum of Art ‘s Trolley Tours of Historic Houses
Where: Various locations
When: Runs through Sunday, December 16th
In partnership with the Philadelphia Museum of Art, the Historic Houses of Fairmount Park welcomes you for a one-of-a-kind trolley tour. Stop by the stoic Cedar Grove, Woodford and Lemon Hill on one trolley tour and then hit up beloved gems Strawberry Mansion, Laurel Hill and Ormiston on the other.

4. Feliz Navidad Party
Where: Philadelphia Museum of Art, 2600 Benjamin Franklin Pkwy.

The Philadelphia Museum of Art promotes this great cultural and musical showcase each week. This weekend the famed institution will host a Feliz Navidad Fiesta. The event will feature live music from Mexico’s Afro-Amerindian Jarana Beat, small bites, drinks, and more.

5. Pacers vs. 76ers
Where: Wells Fargo Center, 3601 S. Broad St.
When: Friday, December 14th, 7:30PM
Ben Simmons, Joel Embiid, Jimmy Butler (hopefully), and the 76ers will be taking on the Indiana Pacers this Friday night in an Eastern Conference and Atlantic division matchup. Come to the Wells Fargo Center to watch the home favorites take on Victor Oladipo’s crew.

6. Comedy Juice
Where: Punch Line Philly, 33 E. Laurel St.

Jerry Seinfeld, Tiffany Haddish, Hannibal Burress, Ali Wong, Whitney Cummings, and several others have taken part in this New York and Los Angeles based comedic showcase over the years. 7. Ingrid Michaelson

8. Holiday Art Star Pop Up Market
Where: Cherry Street Pier, 121 N. Christopher Columbus Blvd.
When: Saturday, December 15th and Sunday, December 16th
With the holidays rolling around like the blink of an eye, it’s always a great choice to have multiple gift options available. The Holiday Art Star Craft Bazaar will be one of the main features a Cherry Street Pier this weekend. There will be 30 of the art and craft vendors on location.

9. Punk Rock Flea Market

There will be 200 different vendors each day of this blowout sales event. The Punk Rock Flea Market will be at BOK this Saturday and Sunday. There will be countless rare and unique collectibles on hand at this expo. Each lineup of sellers will have vinyl, jewelry, vintage clothing, and more.

10. Hanukkah at Reading Terminal Market

12. Philadelphia Orchestra Kids’ Christmas Spectacular
Where: Kimmel Center, 300 S. Broad St.
When: Saturday, December 15th, 11:30AM
Continuing with the live music trend, the Philadelphia Orchestra will be holding a special concert for the kiddies this Saturday morning. Conductor Kensho Watanabe and company will be playing several Christmas favorites from various children’s holiday productions. Santa and his helpers will be in the building to delight the crowd. The Kimmel Center will also host other seasonal events this weekend. The Jazz Orchestra of Philadelphia’s A Cole Christmas will be playing this Saturday and there will be a Tuba Christmas show on Sunday.

13. The Polar Express Celebrations

When: Saturday, December 15
Both The Franklin Institute and the Please Touch Museum will be celebrating the Christmas classic The Polar Express this weekend. There will be all-day screenings of the film and plenty of family-friendly activities. At The Franklin Institute, kids who dress up in pajamas will get $2 off the admission price. At the Please Touch Museum, come visit Santa, partake in storytime, and more.

14. Merry Grinchmas
Where: The Bourse, 111 S Independence Mall E

On the heels of a recent 40 million dollar transformation, The Bourse is excited to host the first-ever Merry Grinchmas this Saturday. Guests can come out to eat, drink, and shop to their heart’s content while spending time with the infamous Grinch for a good cause. This wonderful event supports the Morris Animal Refuge and will be full of activities and treats.

15. Chestnut Hill Holiday Parade
Where: 8300 Germantown Ave.
When: Saturday, December 15th, 9AM
This Saturday morning the Chestnut Hill Holiday Parade will be lining Germantown Avenue. Decorated fire engines will be roaring through the streets, there will be live music, antique cars, Santa Claus, marching bands, and more. Bring your entire family out to enjoy one of the local traditions of the holiday.

16. SEPTA Holiday Trolley
Where: Trolley Portal Gardens
When: Saturday, December 15th, 10AM-5PM
Come out to the Trolley Portal Gardens (adjacent to the 40th Street Trolley Portal) this Saturday. SEPTa and the University City Arts League have partnered for this holiday trolley event. From 10 AM to 5 PM, kids ages 4-16 can ride for free (with paying adult) on a holiday trolley from 40th Street to Dilworth Park. There will be kid-friendly goodies as well as spiked hot chocolate for adults.

17. Running of the Santas
Where: North Pole (Field House –1150 Filbert St) and South Pole (XFINITY Live! – 1100 Pattison Ave.)
When: Saturday, December 15th, 10AM-11:30PM
Field House and XFINITY Live! is getting in the festive spirit this Saturday. The 21st Annual Running of the Santas will have over a dozen musical acts hitting the stage. This mega Santa party brings thousands out each year. The post-run concert will feature several local bands, will have drink specials, and plenty of games.

18. Cat Power

This Saturday night singer-songwriter Cat Power will be playing at Union Transfer. In October, Power released her 10th studio album Wanderer which featured several new tracks and a transcendent cover. Indie and alternative fans come out to Union Transfer for a night of great music.

20. Pentatonix

It’s hard to become a household name in any arena and even harder when it comes to the genre of acapella music. But with tons of album sales, Grammy wins, and world tours under their belt, that’s just what Pentatonix did. This weekend they will be performing two shows at the newly renovated and opened Met.
