As the Philadelphia Union enter Phase II of their spring training in Clearwater, Florida, it seems the team has quite a few members down there, so multiple vans are needed.
During one of the trips this morning, forward CJ Sapong wanted to educate his teammates.
Allow me to explain. During a few of Sapong’s Instagram stories, rookie goalie Matt Freese, who is 20 years old and from Wayne, PA, was in a van with Sapong, Mark McKenzie, Warren Creavalle and Fafa Picault.
As you’ll see, it seems that Freese was tasked with reading the van a few Black History facts. The video is hilarious and the best part is the gulp of water pointed out by Creavalle.
Just a lil cultural diffusion on the way to training! Keep it up rooks!#Blackhistorymonth #facts https://t.co/HZPG7rAAzj

I also thank CJ and co. as I had no idea who Phillis Wheatley was.
Now put a fist up!
